Provide Volunteering and London 2012 Olympic Volunteering Opportunities
Over the next academic year and beyond, Provide Volunteering will be running lots of Olympic-related volunteering events in the local community, for students to get involved with. This will include sports, languages, citizenship and other themes recognised by London 2012 as crucial to the Cultural Olympiad and the legacy beyond 2012. These opportunities, alongside the regular one-off and placement volunteering you can complete through Provide, will also give you the experience, drive and commitment to volunteering that London 2012 will really want from volunteer applicants.
Provide Volunteering will also be running specialised workshops in how to fill out the Olympic Volunteering application forms during the summer of 2010 in order to maximise the chance for you to volunteer at the games.
All of these opportunities will be listed on these pages and as opportunities available to apply on the website. These will get full-up very quickly so make sure you apply early on to avoid disappointment.
In the meantime, if you have any ideas as to projects (both one-off and longer-term) which you would like to set-up and run, or any thoughts generally on what you would like Provide to be doing for you in regards to the Olympics, please get in touch. It’s really not as daunting as it may seem to make your ideas a reality!
