READ Book Project London East

READ Book Project London EastThe READ Book Project London East is a student-led project at Queen Mary, under the charity READ International, and supported by Provide volunteering in the Students’ Union. There are projects in 20 other universities around the country, all aiming to raise £10,000 and collecting as many unused text books and equipment from local secondary schools as they can. These are then boxed and shipped to Tanzania over the summer and eight of the volunteers from the London East team distribute the books in Tanzania in August 2010.
