Volunteer Fair 2011

The Octagon: Thursday 27th October: 11.30 - 2.30,

Volunteer today to develop:

- Your ability to work effectively in diverse communities
- Your ability to engage with the professional world
- Your transferrable key skills, to help your career goals and continuing education

After the initial excitement of the Freshers' experience may have died down, a second wave of activity will be taking place in The Octagon on Thursday 28th October.

This is Provide Volunteer's third annual volunteer fair and it will be a great chance to get to know charities and organisations and find some great volunteering opportunities to get involved with in the local community and even some national campaigns and charities.

The fair will only be running for a few hours, and takes place in the middle of the London Universities' Volunteering Fortnight, which includes Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night, and opportunities to volunteer will be numerous throughout the two weeks as CADs are already being confirmed across London.

In addition, it's a great chance to start taking on some long-term placements throughout term-time which have proven to work fantastically alongside degrees in the past, as well as making contacts for internships over next summer (it's never too soon to think about the future).

We will update you with organisations confirmed so far from the 5th October, so keep a look out.

So if you want to boost your CV, gain new skills, or meet new people - come along and have a chat to see what might suit you!
